Interfaced
LCC 4725 · Game Design as a Cultural Practice
Interfaced is a Flash game where you solve puzzles with unconventional moves. You can interact with the world through your avatar, but the interface, normally just there to inform you, is also part of the game world and becomes a tool you can use. We wanted to break conventions and get players thinking about the game world from both inside and out.
Six of us built it in Professor Celia Pearce’s class, and we submitted an early build to the 2010 Independent Games Festival student showcase.
My roles
- Project Manager: Kept the team on schedule for each deliverable (the IGF submission and the class turn-in) and was the group's main point of contact.
- Programmer: Fixed bugs in the ActionScript code and scripted levels in XML.
